It is hard to imagine a world without computers. Computers have come a long way from the two to four-story gadgets that used to occupy the science labs of huge research facilities and military complexes to the personal computers that adorn most offices and now over a third of all homes in the US. When the large computers were replaced by personal computers or PCs, the way the world worked changed has forever. This is because computers added precision and expertise on whatever someone did. This totally revolutionized the way products and services are rendered across the globe not to mention the speed. But the advent of personal computers was not the end of the revolution. Then came the laptops which were miniature versions of the PC created to enable mobile computing.

Then came the laptop revolution which was the next step after PC innovation. Laptops created an environment conducive for mobile computing. The first company to create laptops was a firm called Toshiba, although Sony is also credited with laptop pioneering as well. These were made when manufacturers shrunk PC parts and compressed them using the same technology used to create other computing gadgets. Laptops are now much smaller and sleeker than they were when they first debuted. Today, a new revolution is brewing, that of colored laptops and among these, one that caused a real stir is the pink laptop.

Pink laptops can caused quite a stir in the computer market. More and more stores are now stocking them. This has made manufacturers embark on a drive to tap into the sentiments of their buyers especially females buyers who have a natural affinity to the color pink. We have seen this before when we witness how well pink shoes, pink lipstick, pink phones, and even pink Cadillacs sell.

Dell, the giant computer maker has been credited with pioneering the art of computer customization thus allowing customers to actually order a computer directly from the warehouse and dictate it's performance and how it looks. Dell has now been joined by other large electronics manufactures in producing custom pink laptops. This has been welcomed by many because it is a variation from the regular old black or grey dйcor that has been dominant for years. While there are many other colors to choose from when it comes to laptops, pink as a color has become the way females identify with the computer market.

Pink laptops are attractive to look at. This makes them ideal for teenagers especially females although as we said earlier, ladies are not the only ones with an affinity for pink as a color. Creators of the pink laptops had high school teens in mind. This is because high schoolers have now joined the computer revolution and their computer use mostly gravitates towards the realms of gaming and online social networking. Gamers have given laptops, especially pink laptops a demand that has been unprecedented since the advent of the pink razor phone. Now the we can expect to see more pink laptops at local electronic stores and other dealers.
